Kota Kinabalu: State Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister, Datuk James Ratib, said it cannot be denied that Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor is the only Chief Minister who had the guts to take up the 40pc tax revenue right due to Sabah with the Federal Government.
Hence, various statements by so-called leaders harping on the blunder by a State Attorney General’s representative on the blunder should not cast aspersions on the CM as it won’t work.
“Only Hajiji brought the issue to the highest level. But he did so in a harmonious way without clouding the atmosphere and good relations with the centre,” he said.
James, who is Sugut Assemblyman, said the state government is open to any thoughtful ideas about the issue.
