SANDAKAN: MCA Batu Sapi Division Chairman Dato’ Chew Kok Woh, wondered why the 600,000 foreigners holding various documents are not immediately sent home to their country upon being detained.

“Pakatan Harapan (PH) Government always say we have no money and having financial contraints. Yet they are generous and had the ability to foot the registration exercise cost, workforce, overtime thus cost of Sabah Temporary Card and so forth.

“It would be logical to say that if those who had stayed, working and married in Sabah for 7 years and above then it would be appropriate for them to apply this PSS pass but with proper and certified salary slip, married certification and previous valid indentification papers.

“We do need this work force in Sabah. Most Sabahans are worried that this so- called Sabah Temporary Pass will eventually lead to an immediate approval to Malaysian citizenship,” he said in a statement.

“Let us not be happy to collect the RM120 per person for 3 years but in the end the real Citizen of Sabah and Malaysia will be at a loss.

“I also wonder what is the stand of our State Cabinet Ministers, Member of Parliaments and Assemblymen on this matter. “I sincerely hope that this process be make transparent to avoid any abuse of power and position by the approving authorities,” he added.
