Tearful farewell for singer Yuki Koh murdered in Klang

Families and friends bidding a tearful farewell to singer Yuki Koh at Xin Fu Xing Bereavement Care before cremation today.
KLANG: The boyfriend of murdered singer Yuki Koh, said her death had left him heartbroken and feeling hollow inside.
“Her passing has left my world eerily hollow. It breaks my heart to recall all the happy moments I had with her,” Sampson Liew told FMT at Koh’s funeral in Klang today.

“I know she’s gone. I need time to accept and heal from this because I loved her so much.”
It was a sombre atmosphere as families and friends gathered at Xin Fu Xing Bereavement Care today to pay their last respects to Koh.
Tears streamed down their cheeks as Koh’s parents held each other, standing by her casket to catch one final glimpse of their daughter before she was sent for cremation.
Twenty-six-year-old Koh died on Monday after being stabbed several times by a man in broad daylight at Jalan Bayu Tinggi 5, Taman Chi Liung, Klang.

Liew described Koh, the eldest of two siblings, as an independent and hardworking person who would never burden anyone with her problems.
“Whenever she had a problem, she preferred to solve it on her own. She was that independent and reliable,” he said, adding that she had shared with him her goal of becoming an eyelash extension stylist.

Liew also said he cried while buying Koh’s favourite dishes, which were intended as part of the religious offerings for her at the funeral home.
Selangor deputy police chief S Sasikala Devi said yesterday that Koh’s murder was driven by jealousy, adding that the woman and the 44-year-old suspect had a short argument before he repeatedly stabbed her with a knife in a car park.
While speaking to China Press, Koh’s brother Koh Wei Xiang claimed yesterday that the suspect was her suitor who had been trying to woo her for the past two years to no avail.
Wei Xiang and Liew urged netizens to stop spreading rumours that Koh had asked the suspect for money, leading him to borrow from a loan shark.
They said it was best for the public to let the police handle the investigation properly. They urged people to stop circulating harmful speculations about Koh and the suspect.
