Kota Kinabalu: Sabahans are more concerned about actions to be taken to quickly resolve the long-standing water problem and restore the supply immediately.
Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI) President Datuk Michael Lui said the people are not really interested about the root cause of the problem, be it water or electricity supply.

He said the water and electricity problem in Sabah is a serious livelihood problem for all as they are basic livelihood needs.
It is absolutely unfair that shortage of both year after year has extremely affected the people enough to cause resentment and dissatisfaction.
Hence, he said, the decision by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor to set up a task force to monitor both is appropriate.
“KKCCCI hopes the Task Force will have absolute power to seek solutions,” Michael said in a statement.
