Kota Kinabalu: The world’s first Dusun translation of the Al-Quran will be launched on March 31.
The Pertubuhan Kadazan Dusun Murut Muslim Semalaysia (KDMRS Muslim) Chairman, Nicholas Sylvester, said the event will be officiated by Head of State, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.

“Through this translation, the teachings of Islam can be conveyed in a language that is more accessible for the local community to understand.
“The translation process involves panel members who are experts in Arabic, as well as experienced in language and religious studies.
“With their expertise, the translation of the Al-Quran into Sabah’s ethnic languages can be of high quality and meet established standards,” he said during a visit to Istana Seri Kinabalu on Monday.
The Al-Quran translation project, initiated in 2019, represents a significant endeavour by KDMRS Muslim in their mission to spread da’wah throughout the State.
