Female firefighter electrocuted while fighting fire in Manggatal

Kota Kinabalu: A female firefighter was electrocuted while putting out a two storey house fire in Kampung Keliangau 2 in Menggatal on Wednesday.

Samantha Echa Sigah, 36, was rushed to Queen Elizabeth II Hospital (QEH) on a Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) ambulance for treatment.

Lintas FRD Station Chief Agustavia Joe Guasi reported the victim to be in stable condition believing she might have doused exposed cables.
