Three men charged with keeping stolen property

Kota Kinabalu: Three men were charged at the Magistrate’s Court here with keeping a stolen property.Md Azlan Abu, Md Izzat Saharuddin and Md Rafail Rahman were accused of keeping a stolen motorcycle component belonging to one Asis Alapa at 7.30pm on May 29 at a house in Taman Sempelang 1, Tanjung Aru Lama.

No plea was recorded from the three after the charge was read out to them via video conferencing.
They were charged under Section 411 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to five years or fine, or both on conviction.
The prosecution objected bail for Azlan as he has no identification document and proposed bail at RM4,000 each for Izzat and Rafail.
The court set July 29 for mention of the case and ordered Azlan to be remanded further.

Izzat and Rafail were offered bail at RM1,500 in two sureties each.
Meanwhile, seven people were charged with committing drug-related offences.

Four of them Md Hasan Osman, Sabdalih Nahul, Keris Khas and Sabri Fadzil were accused of having syabu under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
However, no plea was taken from them while waiting for the chemist’s reports.
The charges against them provides for a fine of up to RM100,000 or up to five years jail or both on conviction.
The court fixed mention date on July 19 and July 23 and released them on a bail of between RM1,500 and RM1,800 in two sureties.
