Ops Bantu to continue: Tawau cops
TAWAU: District Police Chief ACP Peter Umbuas said the police will continue to carry out “Ops Bantu” in rural areas and villages here so that villagers will benefit.

He said this after distributing food baskets to 54 registered recipients at the Tawau police station (pic).

In fact, 554 people registered for the assistance.

Peter said the Government, through the National Security Council, joined hands with the People’s Volunteer Corps to hold the Ops Bantu at the police station in each district in order to help the needy.

“Those who are urgently in need may contact the Tawau police operational room for the aid.

We will deliver the food baskets to the house of villagers if they are unable to come to the Tawau police station,” he added.

According to Peter, the Ops Bantu was held for the first time in Tawau.
