LAHAD DATU: Marine Police foiled fish bombing activity at Pulau Sakar waters, on Monday.

District MPF Commanding Officer, Supt Gan Ping Sin said his men spotted and pursued a boat suspected of carrying out fish bombing activity.

The boat was later found abandoned at Pulau Malamok areas. “Upon inspection, our team found some illegal items including several bottles of ammonium nitrate which believe used for fish bombing activity.

“All the seizures estimated worth RM1,400 were taken to Lahad Datu MPF base for further action,” he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Fisheries Act 1985. Gan welcomed information on any activity that violated the law via Sabah MPF Whatsapp at 013-9391197.
