Kota Kinabalu: Purchasers at Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association’s (Shareda) 2024 Property Expo (PropEX) stand the chance to win a BYD Dolphin electric vehicle from the 14th to 17th June at the Sabah International Convention Centre.
The event follows the captivating of the “Art of Building” with a booth layout inspired by the timeless dynamics of the Monopoly board game.

Activities throughout are Bear Brick, maths, clay, and bingo contests ending with a sunset cocktail session to further facilitate networking.
Shareda President Datuk Sr Chua Soon Ping says it is their testament of persistence when construction prices were at eye watering levels in 2023.
“Now, property risks have continuously went on an uptrend especially with global events such as the ongoing war in the middle east - Iran and Israel, and in Europe - Russia and Ukraine.
“These events interrupt the global supply chain of oil and gas, and especially logistics.

“The cascading effects of the global supply chain disruption cannot be understated as it affects every single industry, even property purchasers like us,” he said the grand prize unveiling at BYD in Kolombong on Monday.
“Due to the ongoing disruptions, property planning, marketing and pre- construction phases have become more important than the construction stage and project management.

“The success rate of delivery of houses is roughly measured at 70 and 30 percent, whereby the former is represented by the planning and marketing, and the latter is project management and construction.
“As the property market is very dynamic and fragile, property developers are constantly facing ever-changing difficulties in the face of uncertainty.
“Factors such as fluctuating cost of building materials, financial institutions willingness to provide financing to purchasers and lack of big data and Al information all play a key role in the success of the property market,” he said.
For the very first time, he said Shareda has provided plentifully for the grand prize of a vehicle which costs in excess of RM100,000.
“Moving along with the trend of Electric Vehicles (EV), the lucky draw of a BYD Dolphin will only prove to sweeten the deal for homeowners which are looking to have their dream homes come true.
“I wish all the participants in PropEX 2024 the best of luck, as we have put all our cards on the table to incentivise purchasers and push them towards securing that final booking,” he said in his speech.
