30 Smart TV units for school

Kota Kinabalu: Sekolah Kebangsaan Api Api here officially received 30 units of Smart TV (smart television) from the school’s Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG).A total of 13 television units was installed and started to be used in selected classes under the “Smart Classroom” programme, covering years one to six, while another 17 units will be given to the school under the second phase.

The use of this Smart TV is expected to improve the quality of digital teaching and learning in schools effectively, in line with the School Transformation 2025 (TS25) programme.
Kota Kinabalu District Education Officer, Suhaimi Matshah who inaugurated the “Smart Classroom Catalyst for School Digital Transformation” programme at SK Api Api, congratulated the school and PTA for the initiative.
“Teaching is currently supported by digital applications. Students also enjoy learning to use Smart TV. This effort is also in line with the way of learning at the global level.
“I hope this Smart TV will be used in the best way for the benefit of teachers and students,” he said at the ceremony recently.

He also witnessed the Smart TV handover gimmick from PIBG Chairman Nazir Hj Salleh to SK Api Api Headmaster Mohd Hafiz Zuraimy bin Damsah, before visiting the classes that have started using the television.
Meanwhile, Mohd Hafiz in his speech said the school had expressed the need for Smart TV to PIBG to realise effective learning, and it was well received.

He said that the effort was also in line with the Malaysian Ministry of Education’s agenda in expanding digital transformation at the school level.
