Make Labuan a Special Admin Region

Rozman said the SAR should be led by a high-powered committee involving the PM and CM and with relevant ministers in the committee.
LABUAN: Former Member of Parliament Datuk Rozman Isli (Warisan) while agreeing with MP Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman that the island should be returned to Sabah if Federal is not serious said a better option will be to turn into an autonomous Special Administrative Region (SAR).This would enable to be included in the economic development plan, especially of Sabah.
He said without such a special status, Labuan would likely be left even more behind as could be seen from the present greater focus by Sabah on its Oil and Gas and other industries.
