Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Customs managed to sniff out 3.8kg of ganja and ketamine worth a total of RM184,396 before reaching the market here.
Sabah Customs Assistant Director-General Mohd Nasir Deraman said scanners picked up suspicious images of 886gm of ganja and 3.01kg of ketamine on May 15 and May 19, respectively.

“Both smuggling attempts were via courier addressed to non-existent or inactive companies,” he said.
He added that the senders of the packages provided fake information on the consignment notes as a means to deceive the authorities.
“As of now, there have been no arrest in the two cases but our investigations are ongoing,” he said, adding the probe was framed under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Meanwhile, Mohd Nasir said the Sabah Customs has seized about 32.26kg of drugs worth some RM1.24 million so far this year.
