Kota Kinabalu: Some passengers stranded at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) after the suspension of all scheduled flights due to Indonesia’s Mt. Ruang eruptions took to Facebook to vent their frustrations Thursday.
A Facebook user named Awang Zakwan said he was stranded at the airport alone. "I hope my flight back will be smooth until I reach home," Awang says in his post.

His post says: "Our flight will likely be rescheduled today, this will bore us."
Ra Ra, a mother travelling with a child, claimed there was no reason for AirAsia flights to be cancelled while Malaysian Airlines ones were available.
On her Facebook account, she wrote: "When asked what we can claim, the counter staff said they didn't know and suggested we request a refund. I'm upset they said that. I waited for an hour with my child.”
