Younger Aussies keen on war history, says Minister

Kota Kinabalu: Australia provides funding annually for the maintenance of Commonwealth War Cemeteries and Australian Military History is taught in schools, said Australian Assistant Defence Minister Matt Thistlethwaite.
He said there are also a number of ex-service organisations in Australia that have proud connections with the Malayan and Borneo campaigns during World War Two.
“There are regular family visits from Australians who have relatives who served here and places such as Labuan and Sandakan and that will continue into the future.
