51 take part in library workshop

Students engage in workshop session.
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Yayasan Group through the West Coast North Zone Office (ZPBU) and the Borneo Research Library Tun Haji Mohd Fuad Stephens organised an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) and u-Pustaka Library Workshop at SMK Pekan II, Kota Belud, recently.
Some 51 students from nine schools around the Kota Belud participated.

It aimed to enhance student’s information literacy and basic information search skills within the library, aiming to improve overall library efficiency.
Additionally, this workshop serves as a preliminary preparation for form five and s ix students as they progress to higher education levels.
The closing was officiated by the Yayasan Sabah Group, Chief Zone Administration Coordinator, Zulkhairi bin Haji Ismail.
Also present were Kota Belud District Education Officer, Dr Japran bin Haji Kusin, Principal of SMK Pekan II, Kota Belud, Jainol bin Sahir and Chief Librarian, Borneo Research Library Tun Haji Mohd. Fuad Stephens Borneo Research Library, Zainudin Saridi.
