Kota Kinabalu: There is no practice of discrimination in Sabah Tennis Association (STA).

Its president Johnson Koh said on Friday that they are free of such issues and they treat players from all the districts in the State equally.

“We have never discriminated against any player. We treat all the players who represent their respective district in fairness regardless of their race, religion or creed.”

He was speaking at the opening of the 36th State Inter Affiliates tournament hosted by Sandakan District Tennis Association (SDTA) which started on Friday.

Johnson also chaired the STA annual general meeting held a day earlier with six out of seven district affiliates attending and the only absentee was Keningau.

According to him, various issues were discussed in the meeting including the financial aspect of the association.

“The financial account was one of the main important agenda in the meeting and it showed a healthy and positive balance.

“I can assure that during the 14 years with me as president, there was never any misuse of funds,” he said.
