Kota Kinabalu: An abused dog at Taman Tasik here was rescued after a concerned resident alerted the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) here.The resident decided to help the canine after witnessing its owner repeatedly abusing the dog by beating it with a water hose since Jan 23.

Unable to endure the abuse by the owner on the dog, the resident took a video recording as evidence and alerted the SPCA on May 22. At 10pm the same day, the resident took another video grab and confronted the owner who in his (dog owner) fury loaded the dog into a vehicle and drove off.
