Those who attempt to climb the 200m high hill about 70 to 80 degrees steep are charged RM35 per person.
“This fee includes food, certificate, coaching service, climber’s permit and basic archery class. But before that, the team will be taught CPR and first aid basics in case of an emergency,” he said.
They also need to sign a liability form.
“All climbs are done 100 per cent with ropes which are provided and installed by Akashi Rimba. The 1.5km climb is estimated to take two hours 30 minutes,” he added.

Edwin said Akashi Rimba opened in October 2021 and is registered as a rural eco-tourism spot by the District Office, making it the 18th spot in the district.
“We have seen participants from Kota Kinabalu, Kota Belud, Tuaran, Sipitang and Beaufort.
