KOTA BELUD: United Sabah National Organisation (Usno) President Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia highlighted the peril of forgetting one’s roots and culture within the Iranun community.
Emphasising the importance of preserving heritage, he cautioned against the potential consequences of neglecting the rich traditions and values that have defined the community over generations.
Pandikar also underscored the intrinsic link between identity, self-awareness and love for one’s nation, saying a disconnect from one’s cultural origins could lead to a loss of self-identity and a diminished sense of patriotism.
He warned that overlooking the roots and cultural legacy of the Iranun people could result in a weakening of community cohesion and a decline in the appreciation for their unique heritage.
