Carnal intercourse: Filipino to go on trial December 4-5

Kota Kinabalu: A 20-year-old Filipino who was charged with committing carnal intercourse against a boy and entering the State illegally, will go trial on Dec 4-5 this year.Sessions Court Judge Azreena Aziz set the date for Mohd Raffie Salim who maintained his plea of not guilty to two charges against him, Monday.

The prosecution informed the court that all the documents had been served to Mohd Raffie and the cases would be heard together.
The court ordered Mohd Raffie to engage a counsel to represent him during the hearing.
When asked by the court if he has anything to say, Mohd Raffie replied that he wanted to meet his family.
The court said he can deal with the police regarding the matter.

The court also set another pre-trial case management on May 15 this year.
On the first count, Mohd Raffie is accused of inserting his private parts into the 13-year-old’s anus between 7pm and 8pm on Feb 4 this year at the staircases in an apartment in Putatan.

He was charged under Section 377A of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to 20 years, and whipping, on conviction.
On the second count, he allegedly entered the State without any identification document at the same place and time.
Pending the date, the court ordered Mohd Raffie to be remanded further.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Lim Sze Chuen appeared for the prosecution.
