SANDAKAN: SMK Elopura student Elovia Godfrey
(pic) recorded a clean sweep of As across all 10 subjects in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia results, cementing her place as one of Sandakan’s top performers this year.
Elovia excelled particularly in the arts and languages, earning the highest grade of A+ in English, History, Drawing, Art and Design Management, Fine Art 2D and Fine Art 3D.
She also achieved a C1 rating, the highest proficiency level under the Common European Framework of Reference for English and was assessed at an excellent level in her Bahasa Melayu oral examination.
Her strong performance extended to core subjects as well, with an A in Moral Education, Mathematics and Science and an A- in Bahasa Melayu.
Her father, Godfrey, said the results reflected his daughter’s determination and hard work throughout her schooling years.
“As a father, I am extremely proud of Elovia’s achievement. All her hard work has paid off.
“I hope this success will be a springboard for her to continue excelling in whatever field she chooses to pursue,” he said.
Her mother, Rita, also credited the school’s teaching staff for playing a key role in her daughter’s success.
“We are so proud of Elovia. Behind this achievement are the invaluable contributions of her teachers.
“We are grateful to all the teachers at SMK Elopura who taught, guided and nurtured our daughter with patience to bring her to this level,” she said.
The school community hopes Elovia’s results will inspire fellow students, while also highlighting that the arts stream is a pathway to academic excellence equal to any other field of study.
