Recipients included students from SMK Pinawantai Kudat, SMK Sikuati, and SMK Sikuati II, as well as eight students studying elsewhere. Incentives ranged from RM500 for those who achieved 5As to RM1,000 for students who obtained 10As.

Sabah Minister of Women, Health and People’s Wellbeing, Datuk Julita Majungki, said the initiative, introduced in 2019, reflects ongoing support for rural students.
She said the number of high-achieving students in Matunggong has shown consistent growth over the years.
Julita noted that more students are attaining stronger results, including 7As, 8As, and up to 10As. She added that students’ future outcomes would depend on the choices they make.
