MORE than a decade ago, we use to call reporters as journalists. To become a journalist, people studied Journalism. People worked as journalists or reporters in the main print media which was the newspapers. However with the invent of new technologies, newspapers or the print media has faded.  People no longer depend on the newspapers for news.  People have switched to the electronic social media such as the internet, facebook, Instagram, etc. Today people call this field as Mass Comm. What is Mass Comm?  Mass communication (or Mass Comm) can be defined as the process of creating, sending, receiving, and analysing messages to large audiences via verbal and written media. It is an expansive field that considers not only how and why a message is created, but also the medium through which it is sent.
