Promote Sabah via telemovies: Tawfiq

Tawau: Creative arts enthusiasts, especially local telefilm and film producers are urged to continue highlighting interesting locations in Sabah.Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan said, the government welcomes the effort of producers who showcased Sabah in their works as it not only promotes Sabah domestically and internationally, but also offers job opportunities to the locals."The selection of Sabah as a background of an artwork is at the right path as it will surely provide a chance for talented Sabahans to be showcased, and also revive the glory days of Sabah filming industry," he said when attending the charity screening of 'Hujan Panas di Inderasabah' telefilm.

The telefilm was directed by Jurey Rosley and starred by Nad Zainal, Izzue Islam, Zarina AF2 and Marlin Malalin.The production of the telefilm took place at Kg Inderasabah and around the Tawau town which also showcased the anchovies industry in Inderasabah, said to be the best anchovies in Malaysia.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Tawfiq is also pleased the production was conducted at Inderasabah as the manufacturing of anchovies were once featured in a documentary previously.At the same ceremony, the organisers also presented contribution to Yayasan Jameah Orphanage, Kg Bombalai and Malaysian Army Veterans Association (Taway Branch) prior to the screening. Also present were D'Smart Borneons Production Managing Director Hazlina Bakri, actors and the crew who have worked in the telefilm.
