Kuala Lumpur: The new pink Kelantan football team's jerseys will apparently have "fat-burning" properties and "promote skin whitening". This was the claim made by Qu Puteh founder Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman, better known as Datuk Seri Vida, who is the flamboyant new sponsor of the East Coast football giants.

Hasmiza claimed that the four versions of the DSV (Datuk Seri Vida) jerseys which will be launched today are not just regular football jerseys.

She was quoted as saying that the jerseys are made using a fabric that promotes body slimming and skin whitening as well.

Hasmiza claimed that the material used to make the jerseys employ the latest available technologies.

"All four versions of the jerseys offer an anti-perspirant function that is also able to whiten the skin.

"The development of the jerseys also goes all the way down to the thread, which is able to promote blood circulation and burn fat.

"I've been in involved in the development of this special type of thread as I've been wanting to come up with a product that can be worn for body slimming and skin whitening," she said, adding that the threads using the technology were created in Thailand, China and Vietnam.

"Hence the new jersey designs for the Pamoga Qu Puteh The Red Warriors squad will harness the benefit of these technologies," said Hasmiza. Her company, she said, would be producing two versions of the four designs, which are the "exclusive" and "fans" range.

The 'exclusive' range will be limited to 20,000 jerseys. Kelantan will play in red, white and pink at home and will be garbed in pink, black, blue and white for away matches.
