Sabah progressed under Musa: Johari
Kuching: Sarawak is impressed with the progress achieved by the Sabah Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman. Sarawak Minister of Tourism and Housing, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg, said Sabah was rapidly developing and its economy has further strengthened with Musa at the helm.

He said the rapid growth was especially evident in the development of the tourism sector in Sabah.

"If you visit Sabah, especially Kota Kinabalu, you can see so many tourists around including those from overseas who come to enjoy the State's beauty and natural wonders," he said, when handing out land grants to the villagers of Kg Selang Ulu,Kg Selang Laut & Kg Telaga Air at the Kg Selang Ulu multipurpose hall within the N4., Pantai Damai constituency.

Abang Johari said Sabah has been successful in promoting its natural attractions such as its islands and beaches and cultural heritage.

As such, he said, Sabah should be a point of reference and guideline for Sarawak, especially in the development of the state's tourism sector namely in the drawing up of the Sarawak Tourism Corridor Masterplan.

"Sabah and Sarawak should work together to jointly develop the tourism potential in both states and create healthy competition for mutual benefit," Abang Johari said.

Meanwhile, Musa said the people realised that Barisan Nasional (BN) was the best choice if they want to enjoy continuous development.

"The BN government has fulfilled many of its promises and was committed to bringing more development throughout Sarawak.

"This included bringing socioeconomic development by building infrastructures and giving out land grants to the people," he said.

Musa said the BN government was sincere in helping the people and strived to do what was best for them.

"Therefore it was of the utmost importance to ensure a BN victory in the coming Sarawak elections so that the people can continue to enjoy more development and economic prosperity in the state," he said.
