RSTC Harvest Cup

Tuaran: This year Harvest Festival Cup organised by the Royal Sabah Turf Club (RSTC) will be held at the Tambalang race course in Tuaran this Sunday ( June 5).Several races will be held but all eyes will be on the Kaamatan Cup with RM21,750 prize money at stakes. The 1,000 metre race is for Class I and II horses with last year's winner City Beauty is set to defend its title.

Brilliant Chaser, Heroic Spider and Hero Hunter are the three names that may stand in its way to win the RM12,500 winning prize while the second to fourth placing will each receive RM5,000, RM3,000 and RM1,250 respectively.

There will be two other main races on that day with the RM10,565 Thoroughbred Cup Open and the Class 7 Division 4 races.

The top four winners in the former race will each receive RM10,565, RM3,725, RM1,885 and RM715 respectively with Head Start, Pop, Ben and Coronation will start as favourites in the 1,600m race.

The Class 7 Division 4 race offers a total stake money of RM10,200 with Mastika, Brave Heart, Sepa Gaya Boy and Intan Spider, the early favourites to win the winning prize of RM5,000 followed by RM2,800, RM1,700 and RM700 respectively for the second to fourth place winners.

Meanwhile, RSTC chairman Peter Chin, management committee and staff wish Kadazandusun community a happy Harvest Festival celebration and added that there will also be a cultural show on race day.
