SOGDC and China investors sign MoU

Kota Kinabalu: A memorandum of understanding was signed between Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation Sdn Bhd and China National Complete Plant Import and Export Coporation, Sichuan Chemical Industry Holding (Group) Co. Ltd and China Chengda Enginering Co . Ltd, at Wisma Innoprise, Friday.The MoU was in relation to a feasibility study on the proposed production of urea and ammonia petrochemical development in the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industial Park (Sogip).

It was witnessed by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Industrial Development Datuk Seri Panglima Raymond Tan and Kota Kinabalu China Consul General Chen Peijie.

Tan told the investors that the State Government will fully support and cooperate with the investors on their investment in Sabah.

Oil and gas business is a big investment. "We will work very closely with the China Consul office in KK, you (investors) can be more comfortable and can seek assistance if needed" Tan said.

Consul Chen said the investors could treat Sabah as home and that her office is ready to assist anytime.
