MMU partners with Cloudera

Kuala Lumpur: Multimedia University (MMU) and Cloudera have formed a partnership through the Cloudera Academic Partnership (CAP) programme to collaborate in cultivating the next generation of data professionals.In a joint statement Tuesday, MMU and CAP said the programme would allow students from MMU'S Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) to access the latest Cloudera Enterprise curriculum, software and skills training for the Apache Hadoop platform."Leveraging on the partnership programme, MMU has integrated the content provided by Cloudera into its Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.) with a Data Science Specialisation programme," it said.

FCI Dean Prof. Dr Ho Chin Kuan said by integrating the partnership into the curriculum, students would be exposed to the cutting-edge analytics skills and comprehensive Hadoop-based training that would prepare them for the future.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Cloudera's Senior Director for APAC Daniel Ng said the partnership programme comes with the appropriate resources to streamline and accelerate the adoption of the Hadoop.It would also help prepare and certify students for the demands of a future with a new big data-related role across industries, he added. – Bernama
