Kota Kinabalu: An American was found dead in his hotel room along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, here, Wednesday. Di Barro Micheal, 55, who ran a fish export company, who was found shirtless and unconscious on the bed, was pronounced dead by a medical officer who arrived at the scene after being alerted. City Police Chief ACP M. Chandra said initial investigations showed the man had checked into the hotel on June 28.

Chandra said no traces of injury were found on the body and that the room had no signs of it being broken into.
