24 members of Rotary Club of KK Pearl to visit Taipei

Kota Kinabalu: President of the Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu Pearl, Datuk Noni J. Said will lead a 24-member delegation to Taipei before the end of the month.While there, the club will sign a Friendship Pact with the Rotary Club of Taipei (RCT), the oldest Rotary Club in Taiwan.

It is also the home club to Rotary International Immediate Past President, Gary Huang.

The delegation will also be paying a courtesy call on the President of the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre, Taipei (MFTC), Her Excellency Datuk Adeline Leong, who is the Charter President of the Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu Pearl.

The MFTC is the Representative Office of Malaysia in Taiwan.

As a prelude to the Taiwan visit, the Club called on the Deputy General Manager of Sabah Tourism Board, Noredah Othman in anticipation of promoting Sabah and its many tourist attractions to fellow Rotarians in Taipei.

Spokeswoman of the Club's Public Relations Committee, Tulip Noorazyze said Noredah presented a very extensive overview on Sabah as a tourist destination, the places of interest from the islands to the mountain, nature attractions, cultural heritage and shopping centres.

"She also provided statistics on tourism and tourist arrivals while sharing information on upcoming developments in the state, existing and new hotels as well as leading restaurants," she said.
