Condoms with syabu found in dead man

Kuala Lumpur: A routine autopsy on an unidentified man uncovered an unexpected haul of syabu at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre mortuary in Cheras last Saturday.The pathologist found 33 condom pellets containing a substance which was later tested to be syabu.

Police were alerted of the find and are trying to establish the deceased's movements before his death.

While investigators have confirmed the deceased to be a drug mule, who is believed to be Indonesian, they have nothing else to work with as there were no identification papers found on the deceased.

A passerby stumbled upon the bloated body after detecting an odour in Pandan Cahaya, Ampang, and alerted police.

Investigators believe the man had been dead for more than 24 hours, and the case was classified as sudden death.

The pellets weighing 300 grammes carried a street value of RM20,000.

the deceased tested negative for drugs.

City police chief Datuk Amar Singh confirmed the discovery and said investigations were underway.
