400 expected for karate c'ship

Kota Kinabalu: 400 are expected to take part in the 16th State Cadet, Youth and Under-21 Karate Championship to be held at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex in Likas from February 4-5.Sabah Karate Association Secretary General (SKA) Julian Chin said some 20 teams throughout Sabah will be taking part in the two-day competition.

"We have sent out the invitation to all the districts, clubs and schools. We hope the teams coming here will be represented by their best athletes.

"This is important as this tournament will serve as platform to select representatives for the State in the upcoming Perlis National Cadet and Youth Championship in March," he added.
