MASwings reducing its frequencies

Kota Kinabalu: MASwings will be reducing its frequency to five routes to allow maintenance of its ATR 72-500 turbo prop fleet beginning Monday.The company said the eight ATR aircraft in its fleet have been scheduled for a "heavy maintenance visit (HMV)" until the end of the year.This HMV is mandatory by the manufacturer to ensure that the aircraft meet airworthiness requirements and standards, MASwings said in a statement said Monday.

The routes affected are the Kota Kinabalu-Lahad Datu sector from 35 to 28 flights, Kota Kinabalu-Sandakan from 28 to 21, Miri-Limbang from 21 to 14, Kota Kinabalu-Miri from 28 to 21 and Miri-Labuan from 35 to 31.MASwings currently has 818 flights each week to all its ATR-operated destinations.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
