SESB uses drone to reduce disruptions

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) in collaboration with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) have adopted a wider use of drone technology with the hope of reducing the frequency of service disruption on its customers.The new technology will be used to identify the risks on existing lines especially in areas with many big trees so that appropriate action can be taken such as cutting down these potentially harmful trees.Other than that, the facility is also capable of giving detailed information about some lines situated on hilly terrain which are usually difficult to access.
