Kuala Lumpur: RHB Research expected the headline inflation rate to rise to three per cent this year, from 2.1 per cent in 2016, it said in its research note Wednesday. The expectation was made on account of higher fuel prices, removal of subsidies on selected administered goods prices, higher business costs and weaker ringgit, which translated to higher import prices, it said."Headline inflation rate rose to 3.2 per cent year-on-year in January 2017, from +1.8 per cent in December and November 2016. This is mainly due to rebound in transportation costs," it said. – Bernama
