He was charged with receiving the bribe at the Meru Valley Golf & Country Club car park here, at 9.55pm, Nov 11, 2015.

Both the accused were charged under Section 17(a) of the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission Act (MACC) 2009, which allocated a maximum 20 years' jail and fine of not less than five times the value of the bribe or RM10,000, whichever is higher.

Nurul Wahida urged the court to fix bail at RM40,000 in one surety for each charge and both the accused had to surrender their passports to the courts.

Sessions Judge S. Indra Nehru then allowed both the accused a bail of RM15,000 in one surety each for every charge and ordered them to report to the closest MACC office every month.

The court fixed May 5 for re-mention of the cases.
