Pregnant woman in fatal fall

Kota Kinabalu: A 25-year-old Murut who was six months pregnant fell to her death while trying to dry a mattress over her third floor apartment balcony, Tuesday afternoon. Acting City Police Supt George Abd. Rakman said a neighbour saw the body of Jeaquiline binti Ribot (pic) clad in black t-shirt and a batik sarong upon hearing a loud thump at the apartments in Kepayan.The victim's two year-old was at home while her husband and mother had left for work.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was trying to put a mattress on the drying place at the balcony of her apartment. A two-inch metal rod that was used to dry clothes was found ripped from its iron fencing rod.
