Chance for disabled to find jobs

Tawau: The 2017 Sabah Career Tour Programme focuses on job opportunities for the disabled group (OKU) in the State, said Sabah Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan.He said employment for the disabled group was created based on the involvement of employers in the programme which aimed to provide job opportunities to this group."The programme, which is also held in Tawau today, involved 17 agencies which offer 890 job vacancies comprising 139 jobs for graduates and 751 for non-graduates.

"We hope the carnival will become a platform for job seekers and employers to meet and benefit together when the job seekers secure suitable jobs and the employers get workers that suit the companies" requirement," he said.He said this in his speech text read by the Deputy Director of the Sabah Manpower Department, Mohamad Fauzi Abd Ghani, at the launching of the Job Carnival at the Tawau district level, here, in conjunction with the 2017 Sabah Career Tour Programme organised by the State Manpower Department, Wednesday.
