"I am proud of the technology introduced by the National Institute of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM) that can be adopted by the public through workshops. During the event, he also witnessed the handing over of a plant nursery facility by the Malaysia Agro-Biotechnology Institute (ABI) to Koperasi Bela Rakyat (Kobera).
Tangau said the modern state-of-the-art facility built on a two-hectare land was equipped with a high-technology fertigation system which used a sensor in its cultivation nursery for vegetables such as red chillies, okra and eggplant as well as pineapples.
He added that the facility could also be utilised as a basic technology transfer centre for the tissue culture method.
