Floods in Tuaran, KB recede

Kota Kinabalu: Floods receded in Tuaran and Kota Belud as rains eased on Wednesday.Sabah Civil Defence Department Director, Kol Mulliadi AlHamdi, said four low-lying villages along Sungai Kadamaian in Kota Belud were still cut off as roads leading there remain inundated with water.He said a house at Tenghilan near Kota Belud was damaged after it was hit by mud and water from a landslip at a nearby hill.

"The occupants of the house have been advised to move out for their safety," Kol Mulliadi added.He said the four villages in Kota Belud that were still cut off were Kampung Lingkodon, Kampung Donggoi, Kampung Sadok Sadok and Kampung Pituru Darat.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

On Tuesday, Civil Defence personnel rushed in to help villagers at Kampung Siasi in Kota Belud to clear up logs and debris washed down by floodwaters before they could hit any houses there.
