Top golfers to tee off at Labuan C'ship

Labuan: Many of the world's best golfers are set to gather in Labuan for the inaugural PGM Labuan Championships 2017 at the Labuan International Golf Club (LIGC).The four-day tournament will be held from Sept 27 to 30 with at least 42 international golfers from 15 countries including Japan, Thailand, Australia, United States of America (USA), Sweden, Russia, Finland, Indonesia, Scotland, Singapore, China, Venezuela, Korea, Myanmar and Bangladesh taking part.From Malaysia, a total of 30 professional golfers from the Professional Golfers Malaysia (PGM) will be competing with their foreign counterparts in the RM200,000 championship that is sponsored by the Labuan Corporation (LC).

John Catlin (USA), Josh Salah (USA), Blake Snyder (USA), Martin Dive (AUS), Nattawat Suvanajanakorn (Thai), Pannakorn Uthaipas (Thai), Oscar Arvidsson (SWE), Mathiam Keyser (RUS) and Janne Kaske (Finn) are among the international tournament winners to compete in the tournament.Malaysian golfers include Farid Rashid, Sharifuddin Ariffin, Keegan Kam, Jonathan Wong, S.Murthi, John Pang, Kalana Ibrahim, Irfan Yussof, Abel Tam, Kenneth De Silva, Helmi A.
