Woman killed in crash
Kota Kinabalu: A 23-year-old woman was killed and two other female passengers badly injured while another two males escaped unhurt when the vehicle there were travelling in skidded and crashed near Lido traffic lights, here, Thursday.According to the 27-year-old driver from Pahang, the group was heading from Inanam to the city when another white vehicle made a sudden U-turn, causing the driver to swerve before crashing into a ditch near the traffic lights in the 2.37am incident.

The driver and front passenger managed to get out of the vehicle before helping out the three female passengers only to discover that one of them died.

Police have identified the deceased as Connie Agnes Felix from Tamparuli, who was seated behind the driver.

The two injured, identified as Nur Zubaidah Shaari, 25, and Nirwana Dining, 29, were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.
