Tenom: A mother and a son died when their house at Taman Bosoi, here, was gutted at about 2.30am, Saturday.Ethan Wong Jia Sheng, 10, along with his mother Wong Siew Mei, 46, were burnt to death while father Wong Vun Tshung, 38, was the sole survivor in the tragedy despite being in a critical state as he suffered burns on his body.According to Fire and Rescue Department Officer Mohd Zainal Sinisian, nine firefighters along with two fire engines were at the scene upon receiving a distress call at about 2.36am.

The fire was brought under control at about 3.10am. The cause of the fire and the losses are under investigation.
