BPSDC unveils retail component

Kuala Lumpur: Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) on Friday launched London's latest retail and leisure destination that will house a collection of British and international brands in one of the world's most iconic buildings.The company said in a statement that Turbine Hall A, built in the 1930s, would be home to the Premium Collection – brands that portray elegance, sophistication and timeless style – while Turbine Hall B, completed in the 1950s, would bring together contemporary brands providing an eclectic mix of younger and more diverse names.When completed, Battersea Power Station will be the third largest retail destination in Central London.

BPSDC said millions of people would visit the Power Station once it reopened in 2020.Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Simon Murphy said the retail offering would form a key part of the new London destination. Battersea Power Station is owned by a consortium of Malaysian investors comprising Sime Darby Property Bhd, SP Setia Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund.
