The party's Information Chief Jeffrey Kumin said the decision to support the president's proposal was fully supported by all supreme council members, Division Heads and former candidates after being given detailed briefing by the party president.

"We also agree and fully support the appointment of Tan Sri Musa Aman as the 17th Chief Minister of Sabah together with his State Cabinet line-up," he said, adding that Dr Jeffrey should not have been stopped from carrying out his duties as Deputy Chief Minister cum Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry.

Jeffrey said the Supreme Council was also briefed on the current situation where the Party President revealed that Musa is expected to bring the case of him being appointed as the rightful Chief Minister first based on his simple majority of 31 seats through the support of Star's two seats to court very soon.

He said Dr Jeffrey has also stated that the election's decision does not mean the voters rejected the party's struggles, especially on autonomy and rights, but more towards wanting to change the government led by former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
