Kota Kinabalu: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Lintas members successfully organised their first Charter Night with the introduction of new members as well as the installation of the first Charter President at Hakka Hall, here, recently.

With over 250 guests attending the event, Daniel Isaac Hoong was appointed the first Charter President by 2018 JCI Malaysia National President-cum-JCI Senator Kelvin Chew as well as the induction of 25 new JCI members.

2018 JCI Lintas LO Secretary Drom Yong said Hoong is not only a successful businessman but also an exemplary member by organising and taking part in various community projects and charities.

"One example is his cooperation with Penampang IPD Project 'Salam Bersalaman Dengan Rakyat' which includes members being volunteers whenever there are natural disasters in the Penampang district.

"He also frequently does charity visits to Rumah Bakti Harapan for people with special needs by organising a 'Save Lives, Heal the World Campaign 1.0'. We believe there will be many more to come," he said in a statement released, on Monday.
