Five Sabahans competing in World Masters

Kota Kinabalu: Five Sabah Masters Athletics Association (Samas) athletes led by its president Aliudin Jumaat are currently taking part in the World Masters Athletic Championships (WMAC) which started on Wednesday in Malaga, Spain. Aliudin who won silver in 60m hurdles at the 2017 World Masters Indoor Athletic Championship will compete in the decathlon and 100m hurdles for the 60-64 age group. The other athletes in the team are Asian record holder Juliana Gumpil (W55-59) who will take part in the 100m/long jump, Lucy Yong (W60-64) in long jump/triple jump, Bernice Lau (W40-44) in 100m/long jump, and Joan Goh (W40-44) in 10k Run.
