JAKARTA: There will be 568 gold medals at stake in the 2018 Asia Para Games taking place from Oct 6 to 13 here. Indonesian Para Games Organising Committee (INAPGOC) president, Raja Sapta Oktohari said there would be 18 sports in competition with 39 countries confirmed participating. "All 18 sports would be competed at 19 venues in Jakarta," he said.

The sports are archery, athletics, badminton, boccia, bowling, chess, cycling, goalball, judo, lawn bowls, powerlifting, shooting, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing and wheelchair tennis.

The official opening ceremony will be held on October 6 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Senayan, Jakarta while the closing ceremony will be on Oct 13.
